The unstoppable object and the unmovable object: a paradox solved.

A classic paradox:
If an unstoppable object collided with an unmovable object, what would happen?

Usually, one would say that a rip in the space-time continuum would occur and that's the end of the universe as we know it. But physics saves the day with loop holes.

If the collision is perfectly elastic, then both objects will not have a problem. All that will happen is a change in direction of the moving object. The unmovable object will not move. The unstoppable object will experience a massive acceleration (virtually infinity), and "bounce" off the unmovable object in the opposite direction. Nature is untouched, and those two objects will never encounter each other again.

If the collision is NOT perfectly elastic, then a few things can happen:
1. an infinite amount of heat will be released from the collision as the change in energy attempts to stop the unstoppable object or move the unmovable object. The universe is toasted.
2. Newton's existence gets obliterated as his first two laws simultaneously destroy each other. Our understanding of the universe is severely limited. Refer to outcome 1.
3. The 1/1,000,000,000,000 that the two objects will just phase through each other will save the day. If not, refer to outcome 2.
4. If you're reading this, this scenario hasn't happened yet. Either that, or we just haven't noticed that we're dead yet.

The conditions of space make the perfectly elastic collision highly likely. In other arenas, this event has already happened. Man married woman. This is not perfectly elastic. The infinite change/loss in energy is known as raising children.

Holy moly. I need to keep up with the times. I keep not-posting. And it's my blog! Goodness gracious. Anyways, school is about to begin, and maybe I can convert my blog into a massive DRHS study blog! Then we can all chat and have fun and study and stuff. Lisa and I celebrate our 8th (month) on Sunday! And what better day to celebrate it? Right before school. Kinda anticlimactic, but nonetheless, we will have a good time. Post. Reply. Otherwise. This blog will sucketh. =3

Research Paper

I hate research papers. They're evil. Seriously. Why make them so difficult? Ok, so maybe the actual paper isn't tough to write. But why is making the Works Cited entries so difficult to follow a favorite pastime of English professors across the globe? Seriously. Periods, and exact indents, and other pointless things. Come ON. Can't we just put the name of the book we got the info from, the author, what page it was on, and what media we found it on? And not make it such a complicated jargon of proper placement? The body of english majors need to simplify things. Even teachers don't like having to research the proper forms of the citation when grading papers. Everyone is only making things more difficult for themselves. This is what we call sitting on a hot stove. So, um...let's change things, shall we? Writing highly educated arguments using compelling and respected authority sources should not be overshadowed by a hatred of recreating the sources we have used.

Nails

The number of nails of a given length is normally distributed with a mean length of 5.00 in. and a standard deviation of .03 in. Find the number of nails in a bag of 120 that are less that 4.94 in. long. Then find the number of nails in a bag of 120 that are between 4.97 and 5.03 in. long. Find the number of nails in a bag of 120 that are over 5.03 in. long.

Hey, woodja look at that!

Sup homes. This is mah blog. It's new, it's hip. It's on the Internet. Ok, time for a change in font. Man, Lucida Grande needs to beat it. So, if anyone really wants to post on this blog, that's cool wit me. Just, uh...make sure that they aren't abusive to anyone (except people I don't like), aren't pervasive (whatever that means, just don't do it), aren't rude (unless really funny), aren't too long (who really cares that much about what you have to say? JK!), aren't too short (you're takin' up space here), aren't too stupid (we want to promote healthy and free-thinking enterprises here), aren't too repetitive (talk about hypocracy), aren't too smart (I gotta read these, too), aren't too Republican (keep it real), aren't too Democratic (ok, so you guys won the election. Don't ruin it), aren't too anarchical (I kinda like our government, so let's keep it, shall we? That means Commies, too), aren't too biased against Disney plush dolls that look like pillows and are only $18 at the Disney store (what? THEY'RE FREAKING AWESOME!), aren't too biased against Pokemon (hey, it's a great franchise, why diss it? Microsoft sucks, I know, but they're from america. It's different), aren't too against Jesus (He's there whether you like it or not), aren't too biased against Lisa (cuz she's awesome), and, lastly but not leastly, not in any way detrimental, harmful, sinister, cynical of, insidious towards, or downright mean, against my leather jacket. Just kidding. Post whatever you want. But...be considerate of others. Otherwise I'll delete your post. Why? CUZ I CAN. And being a sycophant towards me will only work against you. And Lisa is awesome.
